The executive order has been the subject of lawsuits and letters from conservative officials and organizations looking for information about federal agency plans under it

Starting in September 2023 when someone goes to get or renew a driver's license the computer will take the user to a template to register to vote. It is up to them to choose not fill out the form.
Previously the screen asked them if they wanted to register to vote
This change has resulted in a 44% increase in voter registration compared to a the same time period two years prior
2018 state directive by then-Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf, which said counties cannot reject a voter registration application solely on the basis of an applicant submitting a driver's license number or social security number that didn't match the government agency's database
The lawsuit said all three actions need but never received legislative approval or conflict with existing law
